You do not need a designer

Send what you have. Our artist builds the proof, and you only approve it once it looks right. Here is what helps, from best to still fine.

Best: a vector file

AI, EPS, SVG or a PDF saved from a design program. Vector art scales to a 10 foot canopy top with perfectly crisp edges. If a designer made your logo, ask them for "the vector file" and they will know what you mean.

Good: a large PNG or JPG

A PNG with a transparent background is ideal. Anything 1,000 pixels wide or larger usually prints clean. The logo from your website header is often too small; the file your sign shop or embroiderer used is usually big enough.

Still fine: a photo or screenshot

A photo of your old tent, your truck door, a business card or a screenshot from social media. We redraw it as clean vector art before printing. There is no charge for this; it is part of the free proof.

Colors

Tell us your brand colors if you know them (Pantone numbers are perfect; "the blue on our website" also works). Printed fabric and a phone screen never match exactly, so we match to the closest achievable color and show it on the proof. Dark backgrounds with light logos photograph best at events.

What goes where

On a canopy top there are four slopes and a valance, the strip that runs around the bottom edge. Common layouts:

  • Logo on all four slopes, business name and phone on all four valance panels
  • Logo on the two slopes facing the aisle, a tagline on the other two
  • One large logo on the front slope only, plain color everywhere else

If you are not sure, say so. The proof will show a layout and you can change it.

Text we need

Exactly what should print: business name, phone, website, tagline. Spelling matters, since we print what the proof shows and you approve.
